Building fire in Robbins 9-19-12

This report comes from Dennis McGuire, Jr.:

On the night of September 19, 2012, around 11 p.m., the Robbins Fire Department was dispatched for a reported structure fire at a vacant house located at 137th Street and Monticello. Along with the initial response from Robbins, assistance came from Garden Homes FPD, Markham FD, Blue Island FD, and Dixmoor FD, all sending engine companies. Robbins Engine 2913 and Tower 2914 arrived to find smoke coming from the rear of a two-flat, vacant building that was being renovated. The main fire was on the first floor, with visible extension to the second floor.
Command then requested a full still-off from Box #2909, which brought in Midlothian FD with a squad and Palos Heights FPD with an ambulance. The fire was brought under control approximately one and a half hours later. It was later corrected that the actual address was 3617 S. Monticello Avenue.
